You might try replacing the PCV valve *AND* the associated vacuum lines. Since I replaced mine, I have not seen the Check Engine light and my oil consumption has gone back to normal (very low).

Ignition coil, not just tuneup for spark plug misfire.  All if affordable;  specific cylinder coded if not.
