Question I have a 1997 mustang with the 3.8 v6, the power door locks work and then they won't work,i locked my keys in the car and used a rod to push the power lock button and they were dead,an hour later they were working , any ideas would be great
Answer When they don't work, try both door switches, if one works then the other switch is most likely your problem. This is my best guesstimate.
If you have done this, then it may be weak door lock actuators. Heat sometimes plays a factor with these actuators.
This problem could be anything from a broken wire, to a poor connection, to a failed component.
