Question
I will be in Paris from the 17 to the 25th of January 2010.. I have been searching for almost a year to find the best places to hear the old chansons.. like Piaf, Aznavour and Trenent... the old ballads, love songs.. I have found several places.. but they seem to have Jazz on some nights and comedy on others... and I cannot seem to get responses from the places as far as what to find on which nights.. I also cannot find a calendar for any of them... Sooo.. Whats the Best day to go to Chez Louisette? or night at Lemonaire? Where can I find what I am looking for and on what nights?? I would love any and all suggestions for different places! This is a very special vacation.. and we could listen to this music every night of the week.. but I'm afraid we wont be at the right places at the right time..... Can you help???!! And if I promise not to ask for anything else ;) is there any gypsy violins to be found anywhere during dinner???  and if you were born and raised in NYC.. would you rent a car in Paris in January?? Thanks so much for your time!!!

Answer
