France/Question about vacationing near Nice

Question
Hello again,
We are actually staying in Villefranche Sur Mer and not in Nice. We were thinking of using the public transportation the first week and then renting a car the second. Is there enough places to visit using public transportation or do we need a car for the whole 2 weeks? Thanks, Carlos

Answer
Hi . . . Carlos!

I have not stayed in Villefranche Sur Mer.  Parts of that community are more upscale and less accessible to public transit.  It depends on your exactly location there.  I would ask local people there for their views on the pro/con trade-offs.  If parking is not a problem while in Villefranche Sur Mer and you have the budget flexibility, I would lean towards having a rental car available.

Flexibililty, time efficiency and convenience.  It's a personal choice.  You know best how it fits for you and your needs.

Thanks.  Terry Casey
