Question
QUESTION: Hi Carla...my friend and I will be traveling from Nice to
Florence in September and are wanting to find an
inexpensive, but quick way from Nice to Florence, where we
will spend a few days and then from Florence to Venice, any
suggestions??? At one point we had thought of taking a
regular train, but we would lose almost an entire day in
Florence. Then we thought of driving ourselves, but that was
pretty pricey. Now we are taking all suggestions. I would
appreciate any and all suggestions. Thank you so very much!

ANSWER: Hi Tammy!

I'm afraid that taking a train or renting a car are the only options to get from Nice to Florence.

Have a great trip to France and Italy,

Carla

QUESTION: Do you happen to know if there is a night train that goes
between Nice and Florence? If so, then we wouldn't lose an
entire day in Florence.

Thank you so very much!

Answer
Hi again, Tammy!

There are no day or night direct trains from Nice to Florence, unfortunately. You'll have to change at least twice (in Genoa and Pisa, for example).

Go to http://www.ferroviedellostato.it/homepage_en.html and search for trains between Nice Ville and Firenze and you'll find several options.

Have a nice day,

Carla
