Expertise
I live in Paris and I usually know what happens in my town concerning museums, theatre, music but also where to have a great hot chocolate or a nice walk in town. I have no direct knowledges for hotels (except their site).

France - Visiting Paris in December

Expert: Genevieve - 6/19/2009

Question
Good day,

I am planning to visit Paris with my family of five from 20 to 26 December. I would like to know places of interest to visit and as well as type of weather to expect. Most importantly, are the shops open during this period. Also can we take train from the international airport to the hotel? Thank you for the kind advice.

Answer
Good Morning

the weahter could be cald and rainy as It could be cold and sunny (I mean around 0 °c)
the shops are closed on 25th december but you will be able to look at the settings in the street and general stores taht are often amazing.
on the otehrs days, shops are open.

My advice is to bbok on advance the restaurant of the 24 th evining and 25 th  lunch if you want to avoid the brand restarnus such as hippo or mcdonald.

there is train from airport to paris
there are also bus that could be interesting. (they arrive at Arc de Triompe, Gare montparnasse or Opera)

Sincerely

Genevieve
