Question
Hi Genevieve,

My husband and I are coming to Paris in September for just 5 days. We would like to go to a cabaret show and haven't heard the best reviews of the Moulin Rouge. I wanted to go there only for its famous name but wonder if we might get a better show elsewhere, such as The Lido? We will not have the dinner & show option, just interested in the show only.

We also hope to go to Mont Saint Michel for a (long) day trip. I'm not sure if you can help me with that area but I am curios whether we'd be better going on a week day than a Sunday? I have heard that a lot of shops and tourist sights are closed on Sundays in France. I would love to go to Mont Saint Michel when all the shops and sights are open to look at.

Lastly, could you tell me what sort of weather we can expect in late September?

Thank you in advance!

Melina

Answer
Hello Melina

On my opinion, I prefer Moulin Rouge than Lido because the set is bigger and the theater is more pleasant.

For Mont Saitn Michel, the week day is a very good ide., the shops will be open (but I think it will be the same on Sunday becasue it is very tourritic) and you will have less crowded streets.

On late september, do not forget your umbrella and something warm (raincoat or wool jacket).
But you can have very nice days and be able to eat on terace.

I hope you will enjoy your trip

I live in Paris and I usually know what happens in my town concerning museums, theatre, music but also where to have a great hot chocolate or a nice walk in town. I have no direct knowledges for hotels (except their site).
