My name is Russ. I have a slight dilemma and was hoping you can help. I will be spending 3 days in Southern France prior to attending a company meeting in Cannes. I am currently set to stay at the MArriot in La Porte de Monaco. Everyone keeps telling me I must go to Provence but I didnt realize how far it is from where I'm staying. Do you feel that I should just focus on attractions closer to Cannes/Nice/monaco since my time is somewhat limited? I would love to see the ancient villages and Roman relics in Provence but im concerned that i will spend most of my time driving. one plan i had was to stay in monaco one night, go to cannes the next day and drive to Avignon later in the day & then tour provence the next day, but as I said I eventually need to get back to cannes for a meeting. I would appreciate any information. this is my first time abroad and i'm a bit overwhelmed since i dont speak the language or know where to go.
Best Regards,
Russ
Answer Hello,
the simple and least complicated answer is that there is enough to see and do around where your staying. If you're looking for attactive countryside and historic villages you'll be well served. Take a look at the English pages of the tourist offices for Nice, Cannes and Monaco and you'll be spoilt for choice.
