Hi, the serial would indicate somewhere around 1997, it's difficult to be precise about value because it all depends on the market and where you're selling it. Generally single horns aren't so popular at the moment, a lot of US school bands are starting students straight away on double horns. But it's a good instrument for a beginner if you can find someone that wants one.

Probably if it's in really nice condition and you sell locally you might get $400, on Ebay probably not more than $250. Personally over here in the UK I don't pay more than 150 (about $200) for an F single, and some I have got for a lot less. But as I say, it all depends on the buyer...
