Question
Has serial # 8798 E or 8 Looks like a backward 3. Pictures on internet show exact tubing . Bell has so bad damages no letterings has 38513 on value top bushings. I had one 1960 in school from x Dallas tx horn player who lost teeth. I found this at flea market for 25$    Can u tell me year @ model  Sounds just like other I sold years agotr,2

Could the last digit be an incorrectly stamped 8?  In which case you're looking at the end of the Cleveland manufacture in 1963 or 1964.
