Question
Bonjour,

Savez-vous si la phrase "personne ne le dit plus" est une façon moins formelle de dire "plus personne ne le dit" ?

Merci

Answer
Hi Mauricio,

Thank you for your question.
I prefer "plus personne ne le dit", it sounds better for me. But the second one is also correct. I do not know if it is less formal.

The first sentence implies : it was said formerly but no longer now. The negation "plus" is on the action "dire".

The second sentence implies : there is noone who says this any longer. The negation "plus" is on the subject "personne".

I hope this helps

Cheers
