Question I have had my fish tank set up for 3 to 4 weeks it is a 2ft fish tank but the water is cloudy and there seems to be alot of air bubbles should my tank be like this. I bought two fish after 1 week and one died but the other still seems to be strong so i bought another gold fish to keep it company they both look well but worried about the cloudy water not sure if my tank is set up correctly. I have used tap safe and I have a filter also plants not live plants and do I have to do water changes yet.
can you advise me on this matter
Thank you for any help
J Burton
Answer jennifer,
take a magnet cleaner or the like and break up the bubbles, nothing to worry about.
keep the feeding to a minimum and do a 12% water change now.
then leave the tank to itself for a week or two, you should see it clear up, and stabilize.
you can also add some cycle or like product to assist the cycleing process.
you perhaps recieved a weak fish from the shop, I would not worry at this point.
you can also test the water yourself as the ammonia will drop and the nitrates will rise as the tank cycles thru.
enjoy your tank.
