Question hi, i am just wondering if 2 three spot gouramis will have babys if there are other fish in the tank, its a 30litre tank oh and can u also tell me how many times fish breed in there life time thanks mate
Answer Andrew -
Personally, I have never had my 3-spot (or blue) gouramis spawn in an aquarium, but I do know that it is entirely possible under the right circumstances. The other fish in the tank should be fine while the gouramis are spawning, however the male may become aggressive towards them if they swim near the eggs. The female should be moved to a separate tank if they do happen to lay eggs because the male will become aggressive towards her also. Do not remove the male, as he will be the one to tend to the eggs and the fry when the eggs hatch. There really is no certain number of times that a fish will breed in it's lifetime.
