Question
I would like to get some guppies, but do not want fry.  Is it possible to house males only in the same ten gallon tank? I know guppies like to school....what is the least number I can get and they be happy?

Thanks!

Answer
Hello,

In a ten gallon tank I would recommend having no more then seven guppies. They should be quite content in a school that size. You can stock only males, but it may cause aggression. Also, without females to show off to, males can be less colorful and flambouyant. If you choose to stock only males, just make sure that they do not show any signs of being overly aggressive or territorial.

I hope this helps.
