Well it sounds as if your also loading the tank to fast. No more than 3 fish every 2 weeks. Adding more will increase the ammonia levels and kill of the fish. my boss set up a tank than i tested every week for changes he added 6 fish at one time 2 days later the ammonia levels were off the charts and all the fish died. just keep that in mind.
