Fundraising, Management Issues - Financial Management of Nonprofit Organizations

Expert: Rob Taylor - 11/13/2006

Question
What are the key aspects of financial management within nonprofit organizations
as compared to for profit organizations and/or techniques involved?

Answer
Dear Lisa:

I would say that financial management for profits and non-profits is the same.  As you know, companies try to make money that they can distribute to their owners or shareholders.  Nonprofits also strive to show a profit, which is reinvested into their organization.

Hope this helps.  If you have further questions please write.
