Question Hello,
I am planning to make a volunteer work trip to an African country - probably Mali - in Feb/March, 2008.
However, I'm a student (ie. no cash).
How do I go about raising the funds, probably a few thousand dollars? Do I present my plans to corporations willing to hear my cause? Do I ask for money from various churches? I just don't know where to begin with this.
Any advice you have for me would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Greg.
Answer Thanks for your question, Greg.
Some excellent idea starters are at http://www.missionresources.com/fundraisng.html. Scroll down to the bottom of that site and you will find four recommended books by missionaries who have been through what you are going through. The other information on the site is also useful.
