Question My Mother passed away 3 weeks ago. We understood she would be embalmed, it was listed on the "contract" of charges and services and the charge was listed and paid. In picking up her death certificates today, it shows "not embalmed".!
What is your advice to me?
Answer I am sorry for your loss. My first instinct says this is a typing error. Did you view her and was she dressed and her body present for the visitation and funeral service? Did she look "lifelike" hair fixed and makeup on her? If so she was embalmed and cosmetized like the contract stated. If not then start asking questions of your funeral director why were you charged if she was not embalmed.
