GM-GMC - AC Flashing

Expert: Alicia Boutwell - 9/2/2008

Question
Have a 92 chev 1500 4x4 with 350 eng.  The other day the ac was working great and when I tried to turn it on later it didn't cool.  The AC is flashing on and off at the little panal that shows if it's on.  I tried pushing the button on & off but it keeps flashing.  Not getting any cold air.  i checked the connection at the compressor and it is connected.  Just went out and started the trk and the AC is flashing with no air blowing.  I checked the fuse and it looks good.

Answer
its actually more then likely the panel itself that has gone out... the panel that runs the ac controls... if the air was blowing but not cold id say to recharge it.. but if the panel light is flashing and no air blowing its the control switch panel... you can get those at the junk yard... its just a plug in behind there..
