Question
i let the car sit for a week or so in the cold and when i went to use it the battery was dead. but it tried to turn over, and i jumped it it work no problem .three days later in the cold it was dead again so this time i replaced it with a new battery and now i get nothing but all lights on ,the only time  i had a problem like this is when my theft deterrent system came on in the past. i do not know how to get it started but it does not make a sound just like when the alarm disables the gas on the theft system .how do you reset the system

Answer
Hi
Here is the 30 min. learn procedure for the VTD system.
I personally have never had an Envoy go into passlock theft lock. Not saying it is not possible....
If this DOES NOT work for you, please follow psot back private, if needed.
You MAY need to have it diagnosed by the dealership... to find out which module is coming on and draining the battery.
(I Have had 2 LGM (Liftgate Control Module) draw down batteries.)
I also have run into the ignition Electrical switch being able to keep power flowing to modules by not going (off) but to "Off awake" and "awake".
I Hope this helps
Pawl
