GMC Repair/2002 jimmy

Question
I have a 2002 jimmy that won't start. Code reader-read random engine misfire. Also I can pour fuel down throttle body and will run for an instant. I suspect fuel pump (your thoughts). Also I would like your opinion on aftermarket verses OEM pumps.

Answer
aftermarket pumps are hit and miss, i have heard of some that last a long time and others that do not make it 6 months, a GM pump will be considerably more expensive, but less prone to failure.  If you can pour gas in it and it runs, that is a pretty good sign the pump is bad, though i would check fuses and the relay just to be certain, also if you have a fuel pressure gauge that would be handy
