Question I have a 2007 GMC Work truck, I cannot get the spare tire off. What is the trick, I am doing what the manual said, but still no luck.
Answer there is a safety device inside the plate that holds the spare tire up, you can sometimes use a screw driver to hold it out of the way so that you can slide the plate up the cable, however if it is seized, it will require that you cut the cable and replace the hoist, depending on where you live, I am in michigan, we see a lot of them that are seized
