Mr. Hagan,

I have a very low milage 2006 GMC Sierra. A/C blower has six positions (off and 1-5). Noticed today that position four no longer works and position five seems to blow much harder. Any thoughts? Can I fix this myself, or would I be wiser to see a dealer? Thank you in advance.

if speeds 2-4 do not work, ie only very low speed or high speed, then the blower motor resistor is at fault, there is a hush panel on the right side under the dash that will gain you access to it and two screws hold it in.  I would suggest using a GM part if possible.
