Question
QUESTION: I have a Yukon 1997 and need to removed the wiper arm witch is Stock in place, I know a bought the tab that holds the arm in place but with the tab slide out, it is impossible to removed the arm! Do you have a trick?
The reason is that I need to replace the broken air vent intake platic grild.

Thank you.
John

ANSWER: you might need what is called a wiper arm puller, you can probably get one at a local auto parts store

---------- FOLLOW-UP ----------

QUESTION: Do you have a picture of that type of puller?
Because there is no place to set one up and I don't want to
brake the post or pull it out of the inside wiper mechanics.

John.

ANSWER: i can try to post a picture of the tool but i do not know if i can, I found one on ebay relatively easy.  You will need one for that year vehicle, otherwise you do run the risk of snapping off the stub from the linkage.

QUESTION: If I refers to this picture, I would have to make a hole on the top of the arm to let the puller push on the wiper drive post.
Then later have to replace the arm with a new one!
EXPENSIVE?

John.

Answer
ok sorry I was not exactly sure which arm you had on it.  With that type you have to pull that tab out, then pull the wiper arm up as if you were going to clean the windshield, then rock it forward and back, it might be stuck really good so you will have to be foreceful just not too crazy, it will come loose
