Question This vehicle is similar to GMC Savana & has about 80560 miles. Over the past year or so, I've noticed that on bumpy surfaces, the side passenger cargo doors seem to vibrate & rattle excessively. This happens even after I've double checked to ensure that both are shut & latched properly. Also when standing outside with those doors closed, I notice a little "freeplay" when I press on both of them in the center. Although they stay closed & seem safe enough, I'm curious if there's any adjustment or other common problems that may cause this? Any insight you could give me would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!
Answer Hi
Not being a true paint and body man, anything will be a guess.
It may be something inside the door, but in most likelyhood it is a lacth or
striker.
I would take it to a body shop and have them adjust the door properly, making sure there is no internal fault with the mechanisms inside the door.
Hope it helps
