Answer i would say it is probably safe so long as everything is tight and in place, more than likely its a sensor issue in the hub, where the GM EBCM is not getting exactly the signal it wants so it throws the lite on. If you just had it done recently it cannot hurt to follow up with the repair shop as they should be making good on the repair.
