About Robb Beitko Expertise I can answer any question in regards to Sports Handicapping and Sports Gambling. I have a strong background in football and basketball sports betting.
Experience Over 25 years of football and basketball handicapping
Team A to win - 2.6
Team B to Win - 2.5
Draw - 3.15
If i where to bet 1 dollar on each outcome, no matter what the outcome was, would i always be in profit?
I've always wanted to know this as it seems a little to good to be true.
Answer Dear Jack
Your question does and doesn't make sense.
Here's a better example.
Let's say that Poland and China are playing in a soccer match
Poland is the favorite
So if you want to win $100 on Poland you have to Bet $200
or 200-100
If you like China, and you bet $100 on China you get back $180
or 100-180
If you like the Draw, it's +250 or
100-250
So let's say you bet $100 on each possible choice.
You have bet $300
If it's a draw/tie. You Win $250, but you lose $200 on the Poland Wager and lose $100 on the China Wager
SO +250, -200 & -100
So you are -$50
And that's the best case scenario.
Now there are some soccer matchups that would look more like this:
Team (A) -900 (TO WIN $100)
Team (B) +700 (On a $100 Wager)
DRAW +650
Now if you bet all 3, you are still going to lose money (-900 and either PLUS 700 or 650)
If you just bet on Team B and/or the Draw, then yes, you could make some money... but those are long shot bets!
