Gambling - trifecta

Question
I'm confused!   If I place a $1 Trifecta Box bet and win, what percent of the $2 wager based, tote board pay-off be?

Answer
If the payoff on the tote board reads for example: $200.00 on a two dollar trifecta, then on a $1.00 Tri ticket you would get 50% of the payoff posted...It doesn't matter whether you played the trifecta in a box or a straight tri...the payoff is still the same. If you boxed it, then of course your profit would be less because it cost you more to play the ticket, but the payoff is still the same...So on a $1.00 Trifecta tha pays $200.00 you would get back $100.00, same holds true if you played it for $3.00, then you would get back $300.00 on your ticket...

Hope this clears it up for you....
