Gambling - Randomness control at online casino

Expert: Robert Medl - 9/23/2008

Question
Where is guarantee that the random number generator truly generates the numbers at RANDOM?
How I can check it?
I found online casino, which proposes the randomness controll. here link on video about it  https://www.betvoyager.com/games/randomness/
Do you know more any sites with this option?
Whether we can trust these results?( I mean check by the randomness control)

Answer
Hello Michel,

Thanks for your question.

I have reviewed the information at http://www.betvoyager.com/games/randomness/ wherein the site explains its claims of true randomness and how any player can check that their just-completed gaming session was truly random.

While the process that they outline appears legitimate, further investigation into the specifics is time-prohibitive. I will offer the following comments:

1) There does not appear to be any other online casino that offers the Randomness Control system described at the site.
2) BetVoyager is run on the backend by Gamesys http://www.gamesys.an/. A quick search of the Internet did not discover anything that would lead me to believe that this company is untrustworthy.
3) Rather than testing the randomness of a site, I would rather leave that up to a company that specializes in auditing gaming sites, such as eCOGRA http://www.ecogra.com/. If eCOGRA certifies a site, you can be virtually certain that that gambling site's RNG is legitimate.

Best of luck!
