Question We have seven players in a quarter ante/bet friendly game.
I have two pair in a jacks or better, trips to win game. I know the odds are better to keep one pair and draw three, BUT does the selection of which pair to draw to affect the odds in any way?
thanks

Answer The short answer is no. If you had a bunch of people in, and that indicated to you that there were high cards out, it might be correct to go with a smaller pair rather than a largert pair, because the larger cards may be dead, but I don't think that means enough to outweigh the fact that you may make a higher two pair or a higher set of trips wioth the higher pair and with multiple oppponents that may be what it takes to win.
