Gambling/Understanding Some Basic Sports Betting Terminology

It is possible to bet on whether a team will win by 10 or more points, or whether they will win by less than 10 points. It is not uncommon I have seen this option before.

For instance, if you have a team that is favored to win by a large margin (e.g. Warriors vs 76ers), then you can choose them to win in a blowout by picking the '10 or more points' option. So if they win 120-110 (10 pt win) your bet would win, if they win 119-100 (only a 9 pt win) you would lose.

Depending on the matchup the odds for each outcome will vary. It's just another way of betting on matches.

I have considerable expertise in all casino games as well as horse race wagering. My strongest area of knowledge is in Blackjack. VideoPoker questions are also welcome as are the areas of Craps and Baccarat. No sport-betting queries. I was a professional gambler for decades, now semi-retired.

I am a semi-retired professional gambler with a graduate education. An accomplished "card-counter", I am very much unwelcome in most American casinos and some abroad.
