Question
What is a Yarborough.  Can it be considered a Yarborough if there is a condition such as 2h 3h 4h, and the rest of the cards run A through K with no match

Answer
A Yarborough or Yard is 10 cards without a pair, regardless of suit.

A Perfect Yarborough or Perfect Yard is 10 cards Ace thru King, where you not only do not have a meld, but you have no possibility of making a meld. Which means that every cards suit is also different than all the suits of the cards within 2 ranks.

In over 20 years of playing and dealing, I have only seen 2 perfect yards.
