Question
hello,

I have recently embarked on my poker journey but would like to improve my game and have heard that there is some good pc software out that might help me do this.
Do you know which ones are the best?

thankyou for any help you can offer.

Answer
Hi David: The two I recommend are the Wilson Turbo Texas Holdem and the Donahoe Digital Tournament Texas Holdem.  I never used the Wilson Sofware, but it is advertised in all the Poker Magazines.  I have a copy of the Donahoe version and find it quite realistic and challenging.  I was quite elated when I beat 2500 virtual opponents to win a simulation of the 2004 WSOP Grand Final.

Sharper Image has a neat little handheld game that is pretty challenging and very easy to carry around (unlike a laptop)

Of course, the best practice is live/online play with money.  But the computer games are better than those free online poker games where everyone plays stupid because they have nothing to lose.
