Question Dear Richard, thanks for volunteering. Quick question for you...everyone knows that poker is generally 5 cards in the end...but a group of us play monthly and occasionally play a game with only 3...usually with no straights or flushes. Last night however, a guy called straights and flushes count, which brought into question whether or not a flush with 3 cards is better than a pair with only 3 cards. Can you help with the order of winning hands with 3 card poker using straights and flushes. It seems to me that a pair would be more difficult, but I would like to see the math. Thanks again,

Answer Thanks for the question. Currently I am working on those calculations. I do not have the full page completed on my web site, but the tables and the probabilities are shown. Please go to http://www.insidervlv.com/gamble/3cardpoker.html
This will be 100% completed in a few days, but this will answer your questions now.
Respectfully,
Richard Reed
