Question Hello Mr. Reed,
I've been having a gambling problem of late.
Well, I have yet to spend all my $$$ or borrow or steal or lose time from work. However of late I've lost FAR more than I can afford to. I'm a working stiff with no family (thank goodness) but I woke up this morning feeling like a fool. Gambling has gone from occasional entertainment to an escape and the potencial of that exciting adrenaline rush. I crave being in the action and nothing else seems to satisfy. I quit using drugs six years ago and have always realized the potencial of gaming to replace them. It's like switching seats on the Titanic I'm sure.
Just hoping for some advice, Thank You!
Answer Yes, when gambling becomes a necessity in my opinion it is time to find some help. I have never taken drugs, but I would imagine that until you are ready to quit, the problem continues. The same I feel is true for gambling.
There is an organization that I would highly suggest you contact. They have a free 24 hour toll free line that you can start a conversation with and see if you like them.
