Game Shows - Game Show Host

Expert: John Bergman - 9/24/2005

Question
How long was Larry Blyden a game show host and how many different shows did he host? Also, was his wife, Carol Haney, on any of his shows?

Answer
Dear Ralph:

Thanks very much for asking this question, sorry that I couldn't get to you sooner.

To the best of my knowledge, he only hosted three, I believe.  One was on NBC and the other two were syndicated.  THe network one was called You're Putting Me On, which didn't run very long and the two syndicated ones were The Movie Game and the one he was best known for was What's My LIne.

He was also going to host an ABC game show called Showoffs, but he died before taking the job and it went to Bobby Van in 1975.

As for his wife being on any of those shows, I have no idea. Sorry.

Thanks
JOhn
