About John Bergman Expertise I can answer all questions on game shows, hosts, rules and history of those fantastic game shows from the 1950`s to today.
Experience I'm a game show freak and I have invented about three to four games that can be easily turned into game shows.
Question I grew up in the late 80's and early 90's. My friend and I remember there being more game shows than actual TV shows from this time. We cant remember the names of quite a few game shows and hope you could help up out. The first one Im curious about isnt remembered by very many people at all. It was a kids game show, kids probably around early teens. There were three contestants and they started off on three podiums with a buzzer each. Then they answered questions about random trivia to what is this picture of. Then after that, they ran through a maze and were occasionaly stopped by some figure. If I remember correctly, the questions were usually about Lore and mythical...stuff. Then at the very end, they ended up in a room with for heads on the wall and they had the answer a couple questions from them. I was hoping you could tell me how they won and what was the name of this game, and possible confirm the fact that the questions were indeed, mythical and Lore related. Another game show I want to know the name of came on around the same time as Super Market Sweep. If Im not mistaken, it may have even came on the same channel. It was family based. I believe there were 2 teams with four people each: 2 adults, 2 kids. They then competed in a variety of stunts. I dont recall the games being very messy except for water every now and again. They had to match stuff sometimes or catch things. It may have been set in a mall. The thing I recall the most about this game were big velcro suits and the family members had to stick velcroed balls to the people in the suits. I really hope you can help me out here. Thanks so much!
Answer Dear Joshua:
I remember some really good game shows that Nickleodeon produce. Two of the best was GET THE PICTURE and FINDERS KEEPERS, IMO. The one game show at first you were talking about was called LEGENDS OF THE HIDDEN TEMPLE and i think it was hosted by Mario Lopez or JD Roth, sorry for not being so sure.
The second one, I believe, was called FAMILY CHALLENGE and it was on ABC FAMILY or some other channel on Cable. It was hosted by either Ray COmbs or Micheal Berger.
