AboutMiranda Expertise I can answer most questions pertaining to Inflammatory Bowel Disease (Crohn's and Ulcerative Colitis) as well as the medications, surgeries and tests associated with it. I am not a doctor so please don't ask questions that aren't related to this specific area or close to it because it is not my area of expertise.
Experience I have been diagnosed with Crohn's disease for over five years and have dealt with the disease since I was twelve years old. I have been through every medication, numerous exams as well as surgery. I have also worked at a camp for chronically ill children the past three summers and two of our sessions are Crohn's and Colitis so I am very familiar with both conditions.

Question Miranda,
I am a 18yr old teen. the last few days i have been experiencing abdomen pain just above groin. It is in the middle not on the sides. It feels like a cramping pain. I can bend down, laugh, sneeze, cough, talk walk, without any pain, but if i constipate, it hurts and if i urinate, sometimes it hurts. When sleeping on my stomach, it is comfortable to sleep with a pillow that cusions it. I cant see any noticable lumps on abdomen.
Thanks for you help

Answer Well I am not too sure what you are experiencing, but since you pretty much ruled out the hernia symptoms I don't think it can be that. However I am not a doctor, and I can't see your stomach so there is no way to tell. At this point since it is bothering you I encourage you to call your doc and make an appointment so that you can recieve a proper diagnosis and treatment. Sorry I couldn't be more help.
