Answer hi jack,
it is very awkward that nexium is prescribed as needed. nexium and omeprazole are within the same class of drug, which are proton pump inhibitors. their mechanism of actions are similar. these drugs take a few weeks to work. taking it on-and-off doesn't do anything.
it is true that hiatal hernia is diagnosed more often in smokers and seniors. a man in his 30s can have a hiatal hernia; however, many are asymptomatic.
exercising will not strengthen your diaphragm or les. it can only help promote a better physiological response to stressors in the body.
as far as your diet, please purchase a cookbook for diabetics or search online for a recipe website designed for diabetics. i am 100% sure that there are plenty out there. it does not mean that you are diabetic. i am just referring that the diabetic diet is a lot safer at the present time.
a sliding hiatal hernia is very common and does not need surgical intervention.
