Hi I'm 28 recently had a baby in may but now I have hemmroids and when I have a bm I bleed. It hurts to go. I took a collace today. And I drink a lot of water. I go for walks. I try to do all I can nothing seems to help. Should I be worried a d call the doctor to do a colonoscopy? I really don't want to unless I have to. But when u wipe there red blood on the tp. I just went to the bathroom #1 and there was still blood when I wiped? Not sure what to so any ideas?? Thank you!

Answer
Hi leann

At first, be relaxed. Fear can be bad for your baby. Hemorrhoid after pregnancy and natural delivery is very common. You are young to have something really bad.

I do not know how old your baby is, do you breastfeed, how many BM’s you have per day or per week. Therefore, I am concern to give you specific advice.

You have to do everything that decrease the strains in the bathroom and promote healing your hemorrhoids. You may get natural fibers by eating raw vegetable blends (tomato, avocado, carrots, parsley, baby greens, water, etc), vegetable soups, and herbal fennel tea. Ask your PCP about OTC suppositories, try to do Kegel exercises’.

Have good health.
