Gastroenterology/Early morning nausea from acid reflux

Hi Dr.
This is a followup to my earlier question. I am happy to report that following your directions my situation is much improved! I try not to eat anything before bed, but even if I only have so much as a glass of milk and a cookie before bed, I still get (mild) early morning nausea. Of course not having anything to eat would solve the problem, but sometimes I need a snack. Is there something I could take before bed that would help? Thanks!

Dear Bud,
I am glad you are getting better.

I remind you what I put in my previous answer.
“If you will be my patient, I will recommend:
• Eat during your shift some liquid food such as sour cream, peanut butter, almond or coconut milk, etc. Of course, if you tolerate these products. If you have a time to go to the bathroom, you may find two minutes to drink this liquid product too
• Take your acid suppressor in the morning or daytime
• Find proteolytic digestive enzymes and take two capsules with night meal
• Find probiotics and take double dose at daytime
• In case of nausea, drink big cup of Chamomile tea
• Think hard about healthy eating habits”

Probiotics, digestive enzymes, Chamomile tea before bed may help.

Have good health.

I can answer all questions about digestive health, especially in focus on the non-drug, non-surgery treatment. It includes healing diet, acupuncture, herbal medicine, nutritional supplementation, healing mineral water, abdominal massage, and cleansing techniques. All these practices are widely used by gastroenterologists all over the world.

This is my everyday job at Biotherapy Alternative Medicine Clinic in San Francisco. I have decades of the experience of working as an MD in ICU, outpatient department and privet practice.
