Question
QUESTION: Okay. So, I'm 14, bi, and going to be a sophmore next year. I'm extremely shy and have never been on a date before. So how can I tell if a girl shares my views without asking? I only know of at least one other girl in the school, and she's my sister's best friend and has a girlfriend.

ANSWER: Hello Alex,
Can you give me a little more information about what you mean by views so i can give you a more helpful answer?  Since this girl has a girlfriend my advice would be to just develop a friendship with this girl then maybe you will learn a little more about her and then maybe after a while your friendship will lead to a relationship.  Please write me a follow up and tell me what you mean by view so I can be of more help.

Thank you for your question.

QUESTION: 'Views' meaning 'open-minded to same-sex relationships'.

Oh, and I probably should have mentioned this, but the girl is my sister's best friend and I've known her since I was little, so a relationship with her (to me, at least) is out of the question.

Answer
Hey Alex,
If you don't see yourself having a sexual relationship with this girl you could meet people who are in your age group and are bisexual and live near you at some of the teen chatrooms for bisexual girls.  I met one of my girlfriends off of a bisexual teen chatroom. Also a chatroom is a good idea for people who are shy because you can get to know the person before you meet them so you will feel more comfortable.

If you have any further questions please feel free to write a second follow up.

Thank you for your question and take care.

-Taylor
