Gay/Lesbian/Bi Teens/Best Friend

QuestionHi, my names Joey and I'm gay. I think I'm in love with one of my closest friends. We've known each other for a about 2 years now, and at first i thought he was hot and i kinda had a bit of a crush on him. Over time i figured my feelings would go away, but they haven't and it's been about a year. I know he's straight and he knows I'm gay. He teases me sometimes, because he knows I'm gay. Most of the time i can deal with that fine but lately it has become harder and harder to subdue my feelings for him. I just don't know what i should do? Part of me wants to tell him how i feel but i know that if i did it would end very badly. I've only told one of my other best friends about my feelings, she's a girl, I asked her if i should tell him and she told that he wouldn't take it very well and i should just wait till i find someone else to get over him. The problem is i don't know if i can ever get over him. So, I guess my main question is how should i deal with these feelings in a positive way and do you think i should tell him?
Thanks, Joey
AnswerHey Joey!
Well, its a tuff situation to be in. Honestly I wouldnt tell the guy your feelings. The friendship isnt worth losing, for you to tell a straight guy you like him, you know. So firstly I woulndt tell him.
Now, dealing with these feelings. Oh, how I hate being crushed by crushes. I thought I was "in love" with this one straight guy for over a year, then I met my boyfriend. Once I found him ,and knew how he felt about me back, you honestly feel feelings stronger than any crush. Take out your feelings on something maybe like meeting new people?
Good Luck Joey,
Your in a pretty sticky situation.
Please let me know if you have any follow-up questions.
