Question How can i get my parents let me have my girlfriend over to sleep ? Also how can i get them to accept that i am a bisexual
Answer Hey Kaitlyn!
This is tricky situation. Im going to first tell you my own experience. Im out to my parents, and Im 16. I have a boyfriend, who my parents accept, but whats weird is they dont let him sleep over either, and weve been dating for 6 months!
Parents are funny about sleepovers, with boyfriends and girlfriends. Even if our intentions as teenagers is good, parents are always trying to keep tabs of us. If you were dating a boy, would they let him stay over?
Now getting them to accept you. THis is so hard! I came out to my parents when I was 14, but they truly didnt accept that fact till recent months. Parents always think "its a phase", "their confused", or "their possessed, lets go to church". The thing is you need to let them get use to the fact. Ask for your girlfriend to come over and have dinner with you. DOnt immediatly expect them to fully accept it, but in time they will come to terms with it.
THere is nothing wrong with being bisexual! And you know your parents will love you no matter what, but this time is hard for them too! It sucks, majorly, but you need to stick it out. Earn their trust, and have fun with it!
I wish you the best Kaitlyn!
Let me know if you have any other questions!
