About John of AllFaith
Expertise Have you been told that God rejects you because of your sexual orientation? Its a lie! God loves you just as you are. I'll be happy to share the truth with you and to answer your biblical questions. Neither the Bible nor God condemns committed same gender relationships and marriages. I can also share information on most other biblical topics as well. Also visit my Grace Inclusive website for many of my biblical studies on this topic.
I prefer questions of a spiritual/religious nature. If you are seeking dating advise and similar topics you would do better to ask someone else.

but my parents and relative are hell bent to get me married, even they hv said either marry a girl of my own choice or their choice and without listening going ahead in bride hunting
can u pls give a suggestion
Answer Hi Smith,
Your name (Smith) implies you are a Westerner but your location (India) and that your parents would think an arraigned marriage appropriate suggests you are possibly from there. My answer would be a bit different depending on this.
Cultures vary greatly and such decisions can have far reaching implications on social dynamics.
As a general statement, I believe it is best for gay folks to "come out of the closet" and live openly as gays. Loved ones will hopefully handle it, if not, it is still best that people are honest in most cases.
However, there are also sometimes extenuating circumstances (especially in places like India, Pakistan etc). In some parts of the world homosexuality is still, officially or unofficially, a capital offense or considered a crime and punishable. In such cases staying in the closet is often the best option even if that means marrying an opposite gender person. This is not preferable, but we must be real here. Even in the US in some areas the penalty for being "out" can be extreme.
You are an adult and must decide this for yourself. Which is more important, being an open and out gay man or maintaining peace with your family (village religious leaders etc)? You alone can decide this.
Best of success,
~ John of AllFaith
