What kind of technology is being used in Angola?

Although Angola is rich in mineral wealth and arable land, 30 years of civil war have all but destroyed the economy.  Less than 20% of Angolans have electricity and that is unreliable.  80% of Angolans rely on charcoal or wood to provide their energy needs.  Industry relies heavily on wood fuel as well.  Over 70% of agricultural production is through the use of hand tool types of technology. Factors that thwart the use of mechanized farming include the unavailability of spare parts, shortages of diesel fuel and too few skilled machinists and operators.

As the country tries to rebuild its economy there is tremendous potential for technological improvements to its infrastructure - these include solar panels, hydropower installations, atomic energy, etc.
