There are many factors that bring forth the colapse, and eventual demise of an empire or civilization, as Edward Gibbons points out in his treatise, concerning the fall of Rome.
When closely examining the demise of the Egyptian Dynasty, and the subsequent four world empires, the focal point of their demise, leads to their willful inability to obey God's instructions and his law, which began with Adam & Eve, and continues to this day.
The fact that some question my explanation, reveals an inability to respond to anything
that involves the Creator, which is the verry reason that mankind failed in obeying God. Doubt begins when one begins to question God, which is actually willful disobedience.
The Apostle Paul in Romans Cp.1 and Vs. 18-32, points out mans willful disobedience and suppression of God's Word, which leads to God's response in Vs.18. " The wrath of Gos is revealed from Heaven upon all ungodliness..."
In the case of Rome, and I personally believe in the case of the United States, God has abandoned our nation, as he did with Rome. When he abandons a civilization, his restraining Grace is withdrawn, and man is left to his own divices, which results in his destruction.
( Cause and Effect - The Law Of The Harvest )
When his restraining grace is withdrawn, the nation or empire now becomes the target of an enemy. ( Ancient Conquests )
