Answer
  Thanks, Anne, for the multiples:

  1. In India, with its Hindu MAJORITY and substantial Muslim population, the public tends to hold a favorable opinion of Christians, but is closely divided with respect to opinions of Muslims. About six-in-ten Indians (61%) hold a favorable view of Christians – a figure that holds among both Hindus and Muslims. Among the Hindu majority in India, views of Muslims are closely divided with 42% viewing them favorably and 44% unfavorably; for all Indians, the divide tilts favorable by 46% to 43%.

  Answer: Hindu.

   2. "The real difficulty is that people have no idea of what education truly is. We assess the value of education in the same manner as we assess the value of land or of shares in the stock-exchange market. We want to provide only such education as would enable the student to earn more. We hardly give any thought to the improvement of the character of the educated. The girls, we say, do not have to earn; so why should they be educated? As long as such ideas persist there is no hope of our ever knowing the true value of education."

(M. K. Gandhi, "True Education"

   Answer: Mahatma Gandhi

   3. African-American Quaker and maritime entrepreneur Paul Cuffee (or Cuffe) financed and captained a successful voyage to Sierra Leone in 1815 where he helped a small group of African-American immigrants establish themselves. Cuffee believed that African Americans could more easily "rise to be a people" in Africa than in America with its system of slavery and its legislated limits on black freedom. Cuffee also envisioned a black trade network organized by Westernized blacks who would return to Africa to develop its resources while educating its people in the skills they had gained during captivity. Cuffee died in 1817 without fully realizing his dream.

That's MY answer but I'm quite sure the following is the one you want. You might want to discuss Cuffee in class. Impress your teacher:

The West African nation of LIBERIA, founded by former African-American slaves.

   Answer: Liberia.

   * Of Note: I like to send additional info in case you wish to do 'just a little bit more' than what's required by your teacher. This can be the difference between receiving  a B and an A. It worked for me in High School and College. Just a thought. Good luck!
