QUESTION: Scott how things at your end?. Scott i get online from internet cafe.
I have purchased Dell Desktop GX270 and i am willing to purchase Wifi Router.
Let me tell you something about my locality I live on 10th floor that is 150 feet above ground. I have approached two of internet service providers and they recommended Tendra Routers. Could you recommend me a model of Tendra routers in order to prevent any fraud since most of internet service providers plunders a customer charging higher amount and installing a cheap Wifi router thats good for nothing.
Can i provide you the website so you could tell me the appropriate router that accords with my locality height, stabled signals and better browsing experience???

Kindly

Bilal

ANSWER: You are confusing me a bit, plus you didn't answer my questions. If you get online from an Internet Cafe, then why do you need a router? If you are contracting with an ISP (Internet Service Provider). Why do you need a router if you only have one PC, especially in an apartment. Is it really necessary to be able to move with the laptop around the apartment?

An ISP should provide you with a cable modem. The router then connects to the modem to allow you to use multiple wireless devices.

What would be your fee schedule with the ISP? Not sure how they can charge extra fees.

Tendra is not a bad router brand and may be more available where you are. Any N300 router should be enough for you.

Hope this helps,

QUESTION: I am sorry Scott let me answer your questions first.
So far i have no internet at my home. I log in from Internet cafe.
I am very much willing to enable internet facility in my home.
Yes i want a good Wifi Router.I only have one computer in my home that is Desktop computer Dell Gx270
My budget is USD 30 because Router prices are very cheap here.

Answer
Again, the ONLY reason to buy a WiFi router is to enable roaming throughout the apartment. Since you only have a desktop, you don't need a WiFi router. Your ISP will provide you with a cable modem and that's all you need.

Hope this helps,
