Question
Good morning. My name is Craig Almaguer.  I've started a clothing line
geared toward the active lifestyle.  I need a trusted contact in the industry
that will help in selecting the materials used, fabrics (micro fibers, synthetics,
fleeces),  colors, etc. However, I'm having trouble sourcing it.  It seems there
is so much information out there and so many quick sale types.

My logo and trade mark is pending at the US trademark office.  Beica is the
name of the company.....stands for "because i can" (run, bike, swim, climb,
survive cancer, etc)

Do you know of a contact that I can get a hold of to help me get this off the
ground?

Thanks in advance,

Craig Almaguer

Answer
Craig,
I am sorry for the delay in responding, I am traveling in Italy at the moment. When you say you have started a clothing line I am not clear on what you mean. Have you just registered a name?  Who is designing the products? If you have a designer they ordinarily source fabrics from mills who all have representatives in New York. Or, if you are producing off shore you could use the local fabric suppliers in Hong Kong or Shanghai.  I would need more information about what your needs are.  Who is your designer? What price ranges are you selling? Men's, Women's or both? Are you going to wholesale or retail?  If you just have a unique name and logo that is not enough for success, you need a really incredible design team, marketing team and sales team to make this work.
